ABOUT ME
My name is Jason Kauflin and I have been a professional golf tour operator since 2015. I was born and raised in Dayton, Ohio and my wife and I moved to Wisconsin a few years after we had graduated from college and got married. If you are wondering why you are reading about a guy that lives in Wisconsin about a potential trip to Michigan, I encourage you to read on. When you are good at what you do in my industry, these things happen…
My fascination with golf trips started in 2001 when I talked three buddies into flying out to Mesquite, Nevada for a three day golf trip. We had so much fun that we invited a few more guys the next year. What is now known as the Kauflin Invitational was off and running! The trip grew into a large scale operation with over 40 participants on a couple of occassions. What started with a love for golf, and an equal interest in hanging out with my buddies, turned into a passion for planning the perfect golf trip. I handle every detail involved with organizing the trip and have gotten very good at it over the years. I get to know the general managers, pros, and staff at each course that I work with, and that effort is reflected in how my groups are treated.
For years I had considered trying to turn my passion for booking golf trips into a viable business. In 2015 I decided to jump in head first and started Wisconsin Golf Trips, the state’s only inbound tour operator service. I work with groups of all shapes and sizes from all over the world to execute custom stay & play packages for courses like Whistling Straits, Erin Hills, Blackwolf Run and Sand Valley. Many groups that have come to Wisconsin appreciate how I operate and a natural question that comes up is “Where ELSE can you take us?”. So my focus on offering other quality outbound destinations has become a priority for me as well.
With all of the great golf in Michigan, it was only a matter of time before my groups started to express interest in my neighbor to the east. Most Michigan golf resorts are set up for you to come and spend a few days there and not go anywhere else. I am more interested in connecting the dots for a group that wants to more than one resort and cross off as many top Michigan courses as they can in the time they have available to them. Do you stay in one location and drive? Do you stay in multiple locations near the top courses? Michigan has some logistics to work through and I am committed to helping groups come up with best plan of attack.
There is absolutely NOTHING I enjoy more than a satisfied customer. Allow me use my knowledge and experience to plan a Michigan package that makes the most sense for your group. I have the course contacts, lodging research, and transportation options all lined up. All you have to do is tell me what kind of trip you are looking for, and I will make it happen. My goal is to provide you with an itinerary that works no matter what your budget or group size. I very much look forward to working with you.
