There is a lot to keep track of Forest Dunes Golf Club as they are making constant improvements to their already impressive resort offerings. What was just one great golf course with some minimal lodging on property just a few years ago has blossomed into a terrific spot for golf groups.

The Tom Weiskopf-designed Forest Dunes course is ranked #33 on Golf Digest’s list of top public courses in the U.S., making it the second highest ranked public course in the state. But much of the press lately has been on Tom Doak’s mind-blowing creation called The Loop. The Loop is a completely-reversible 18 holes that is played clockwise one day and counter-clockwise the next. Golf Digest was so impressed with the quality and differences in The Black and Red layouts that they put BOTH on the Top 100 list (#59 and #78 respectively).

Those three Top 100 layouts make Forest Dunes Golf Club something special, but that isn’t the end to the story. There is now a 10-hole Par 3 short course called The Bootlegger (which is a blast!) and a huge putting course called The HillTop to settle all your bets at the end of the day. Factor in a number of different, quality lodging options on property and you have yourself one heckuva golf resort at Forest Dunes!
